Jungle

Post by prlanyi »

Here's my latest animation, just a really short one mainly as a practice. I've learnt some new techniques, so here I animated frame by frame, and the background/nature elements were painted separately as pixel graphics instead of vector graphics. I worked with image sequences and some individual pngs rigged in moho. Then some minor vector graphics were added, too.
Pls feel free to make any comment or constructive critisism. :)

A bit too slow on the reveal, but otherwise, very nice.

Can you please explain in more depth what you mean slow on the reveal?

It just drags on too long without much happening before the leaves part.

OK, I got the point. So the intentionally slow tempo could be OK, but some attractive action should have happened to prepare the main action. Anyway this part I tried to fill up with the spider in the front and the bird flying through the scene in the background, but they seem not so interesting, maybe to small to recognize (furthermore now I see a little layer ordering mistake there). Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah, maybe some eyes peeking out of somewhere, something scurrying by quickly, etc..

Nice sound design, btw.
