That seemed rather political. Not sure if that was for or against Brexit or London ridiculing Trump, but I did read recently that Germans think Trump is more dangerous than the leaders of North Korea, Iran, Russia, and China.

Trump seems happiest talking to the leaders of those countries, while questioning the institutions that hold the west together, like NATO and the WTO. However, to consider Trump dangerous is to believe that he has some sort of plan...
ANYWAY, Happy 2020 everybody!

Considering the US is still the most powerful country in the world and that Trump is actively saying he wants to help to stop the protests in Latin America, I think it's justified to be worried here, at least
Happy new year, everyone :)

Stop riots, that undemocratic governments can use as an excuse to attack citizens, not protests that are seeking democracy.

Personally, I would prefer international organizations to decide what means to seek democracy instead of any particular country or government. Last time the US decided for us, in Chile we ended with an US supported 17 years long bloody dictatorship.

The circumstances of Cuba and Venezuela have nothing to do with the US.

Sadly, with good or bad governments, the entire Latin American history is still very tied to the US. And currently what is happening in Chile, Ecuador, Brazil and specially Bolivia is less covered by the big media, but still worrying.
And well, looking at today's news, I think there are good reasons to be worried in the world.

If countries weren't seeking US money, the US would have no means to pursue its interests in other countries. Money always comes with strings, usually good for the giver and often indifferent for the receiver.

^ Then to whom the US owes 20 trillion?

Loans differ from money given without repayment. Loans garner interest payments.

Messes of their own making, even if the US then sanctions human rights violators.

I love the politically edged new year card. If only Brexit could be ignominiously dumped and carted away like it is in your card, only I'm afraid it's very much alive in 2020, and is likely to drag my country to the dump instead. Happy new year!
