5th Witch Spell

Post by terry7th »

Well, I'm at it again. Next witch spell is complete. I think maybe a tweak here and there, but I'm 95% happy.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Was that a Vincent Price cameo? Great way to keep him in it, and great work, as always.

I Love It
I'm a beginner, can anyone tell me how did he/she draw this kind of art? was it in another software then mesh it in Moho?

I'm guessing the art was created in a paint program like Photoshop or Krita using real world images for textures? With Moho 12 and earlier, this was the most common way to get painted/crafted looks into Moho. (Some of our early DreamWorks TV work, like Puss, King Julien, and The Croods was done this way.) Also, edge highlights and drop shadows help with the layered 'craft' look.

Moho recently got native paint tools with version 13. The tools are still primitive but it's now possible to get a similar painted look. However, IMO, you're better off using a third-party paint program for major paint work and using the Moho paint tools for quickly painting simple things inside Moho (i.e., filling up a switch layer with mouth or hand shapes.)

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

Various techniques were used for the look of the animation.
• Line drawings were done then scanned, textures applied.
• Vincent was done using plasticine first to model his face. Then photographed and coloured by photoshop.
• teaspoons were modeled in 3d then adjusted in photoshop.
• Cockroaches were photographed then manipulated in moho.
• Blob fish canister was done in 3D then adjusted in photoshop.
• A lot of textures were used to create the overall look and feel.

More spells are on the way.

Cheers
