Just a simple thing my daughter did

Post by Ashe Raven » Sat Sep 23, 2006 11:07 pm

For her website. For a nine year old her other proejcts are very good. The Penguin you see there was also a 3D Mesh she made herself. I imported a 2d render we mad of it into Anime Studio, added bones to it. She did the rest. Well the snow was my doing but everything else is her.

Wow, the times sure have changed over the years. A nine year old who knows how to perform basic 3D modeling work and apply it into a 2D environment.

I actually had to teach a course on 3D modeling and animation during my senior year in high school, and very few of them could actually grasp the concepts in a useful manner. What your daughter has accomplished is impressive given her age.

And this is coming from someone who used to program computers in machine code at that age! 8)

Thanks. She is really excited about the work she does :)

And now she's ambitious. I'm helping her with a 3D film called "Wartime Pets" set during the second world war. She's cpme up with a story and the models all her self.
