Hi All,
Anyone have any ideas how to solve this issue?
I've got a character that is built out of a combination of 2D and 3D parts. I like to start with faces, so I built his face all nice and big so I can see the detail. Then I wanted to start on his body, so I shrunk the scale of his face, but I found that this changed the appearance of the 3D components of his face, especially the way it shaded, and also introducing 'ghost' lines.
Any thoughts how this could be avoided? The 3D method is "lathe" and the shading is "hatched".
I'll include a render that has the same face at 3 different sizes (and if someone can tell me how to include a file, I'll do that too ) - and ALL I did was change size, and I guess tilt the faces a bit to look at the 'camera'. Note the differences in shading, and that weird little line that appears around the chin on the smallest one (and to some extent, in the middle one).
Best,
Joel
Changing scale changes appearance?
