Hey guys, for those of you who might be interested, I've written a basic ball bouncing frame by frame tutorial using Toon Boom Studio.

I've never used that software but the tutorial is very thorough and well done!

Thanks, Joof! Nicely organised.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
Re: Basic Frame by Frame Tutorial
Good concise tutorial. I notice you made the classic 'mistake' of inbetweening the elongated shape as the ball drops into the squashed shape as it hits the floor. I see this a lot. The ball would stay elongated until it hit the floor and only squash on impact. It's a common 'mistake' but it would look more dynamic if it was drawn correctly

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Nice work. I've been getting my head around Toon Boom lately and I need all the help I can get.
Re: Basic Frame by Frame Tutorial
@AmigaMan, Just checked only the animated gif on the page has the ball widening problem when it reaches the ground. I did initially create the animation before writing the tutorial and that's where I made the mistake, however in the tutorial itself and linked project file the ball stays elongated till it hits the ground.
@Scot Solida, thanks bud. I'll be adding more in the future. Follow my blog
