Puffin Rock

Post by amanandink »

Nearly finished working on the first season, only 2 episodes left to animate but our show got its first trailer release today. And all animated in ASP.

I hope you enjoy it.

Not only visually appealing, but a very catchy little tune! This is wonderful!

Fabulous. I study Saturday morning cartoons and your work makes some of what I see look amateurish! :D

Compliments! Excellent job!
It looks so easy to implement textures in AS, when done like you did.
Casting is also something I`d mention along with the really really nice tune.

Beautifully made. The animation is clean, and the backgrounds look great.

Did you import those textures, or find them in an .anme file somewhere?

Thanks guys, its also nice to get praise from your peers. It was a great team effort, and there are videos explaining our models and animation process which will hopefully be released as part of the promotion at some stage.

check out https://www.facebook.com/puffinrock for the most recent news.

@willf
the backgrounds are painted in photoshop with set brushes made up by the Art director and our builder/rigger was able to match them pretty close with ASP brushes, some out of the box and we made our own as well. It might be difficult to see some of the subtle texturing on the wool and the ants for example, in the video. but 95% of out characters and props were all re-built in ASP and textured with ASP brushes to match in backgrounds.

amanandink, I clicked on Cartoon Saloon. It confirmed my suspicion; you're in the 'big leagues'. Congratulations!

Hey All, just a quick update on Puffin Rock, we are working away on Season 2, but the first 39 episodes are now available on Netflix, if you would like to see more Anime Studio animation. Not sure if it is in every netflix region but definitely in the US

I just saw this for the first time, as you bumped it up the list again. That's a great looking series you have made there. I'm delighted to discover it was all animated in AS. Congratulations!
