CUSTOM PHONEME HACK
I version 2 you can actually add (kinda) custom mouth shapes (seems like it might work in version 1)
In a previous thread a person asked if they could add a smile. Well you can sorta. What you do is enter a custom phoneme.
What is a custom phoneme any letters that are not the existing ones AI, E, etc, rest (you know).
In your switch layer where you have the mouths create one named anything you like for me I did SM
In Papagayo in your text area enter something that it can't spell check I entered [smile]
In the waveform area it will get flagged as red.
Right click on the word [smile] and it will show the Phonemes list and there is an area where you type in whatever you want.
In the typing area enter SM
click ok
when you play it will show a blank screen for that section.
Your indicator can be really anything you want it to be except one of the 10 that it already uses.
Although I'd keep it short no more than 4 chars preferably 2 so it can display in the waveform area.
Here is some screen caps

Re: Papagayo HACKS
MULTIPLE EMOTIONS HACK
You will need either Microsoft Excel or Libre Office (RECOMMENDED use portable version) and a text editor
WARNING: Libre Office adds a space to the end of the first line MohoSwitch1 , make sure you remove it with your text editor.

MULTIPLE EMOTIONS HACK PART 2
This continues from previous one.
You know when you are using images for mouths in your switch layer and you always forget to rename the AI.png layer to AI.
Well this tutorial shows you how to hack around that as well.

Re: Papagayo HACKS
This works GREAT!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to post these hacks and to provide the tutuorials. And explaining about the need to "clear out" the .dat file resolved a very confusing problem for me!!

MERGING .DAT FILES (GETTING OVER SPOKEN TEXT CHARACTER LIMIT)
This tutorial will give you some ideas on how to get around the 5000 character limit (I think someone said it was that) by merging your .dat files
Or by merging the .dat files of 2 .pgo files if the dialog/.wav file changes.

DIFFERENT EMOTIONS A DIFFERENT WAY
This is probably an easier way.

Re: Papagayo HACKS
That *does* look a lot easier! Such a simple idea...like all the best ideas! Thanks for sharing.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
Re: Papagayo HACKS
You could also have a switch layer that went to one mouth that open and closed with a smart bone.muddcliff wrote:DIFFERENT EMOTIONS A DIFFERENT WAY

That way you can have words like "Oh My God" Slowly open and close.
