Just curious but what part of 12 is keeping you from upgrading?

We've been using 12 at work for over a year now and I can't imagine going back to version 11. Too many useful improvements to the Timeline and Layers panel, and I rely so much on custom meshes, Pin Bones, Layer Comps Window, and List Filters. Having a stable Moho Exporter alone has been worth it.

The only downside for us in 12.2 was that we had to disable Autosave for stability--no biggie actually. Recently, I've been using 12.3 for a personal project and so far it seems more stable than 12.2...and that's with Autosave enabled!

I have updated to 12.3 and all UNDO/REDO stopped working :( . At SmithMIcro custummer support they say : (I quote:)
We can not reproduce this and we have no other reports.
Have you rebooted your system since installing the update?
It may be the update was corrupted when installing.
I've tried them all, but nothing changes.
Still undo/redo regression versus 12.2 version.

Please anyone having the same issue report it to cs@smithmicro.com maybe they will repare it. Now I'm not able to work with moho 12.3 any longer.

Copying and pasting Keyframes does not work on my mac (12.3 on a macOS Sierra).
Also the Undo-function seems to have stopped working a regression issue versus 12.2.

Same here... no more UNDO/REDO I have deinstalled 12.3 now, the customer SmithMicro service told me :
We can not reproduce this and we have no other reports.

My system:
OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6
System Details: Mac Pro (2008)
CPU Quad core Intel Xeon, RAM: 32GB video: ATI Radeon HD 4800 1024 MB

So anyone with this problem, please report them your problems. Now they ignore it, saying there is no problem reported.
Strange thing is I even didn't get a ticketnumber for the problem/bug.

Hey VosjeNL

I´m having the same problems with 12.3 like you.
Drives me crazy!

In the meantime I did some testing:

When i open a new file in Version 12.3 everything seems to work.
Copy, paste, undo, redo works fine.

BUT when i open an old file, made with 12.2 the functions are not working.
In fact, they are greyed out in the Programm.

Strange!

However, I just reported this to smith micro.
And i will reinstall 12.2 for now...

I don't have a Mac to test 12.3 on but I was wondering, is it possible that your shortcuts for Undo/Redo changed?

Try opening Keyboard Shortcuts and change the settings to Default.

Hey Greenlaw,

I don't think its the shortcuts.
Because i also tried to copy, paste, cut, undo and redo via the Programm Menu.
But the functions there are just greyed out.

And like i wrote in my previous post, these things work well with a new file.
The problems occur only with older files made with 12.2.

Thanks anyway!

Wow, that does sound weird.

How about if you import the 12.2 files to 12.3 instead of opening them normally? Probably won't make a difference but curious to hear if it does.

Both you guys are on Mac OS X 10.11.6? Just thinking of asking some other Mac users.

Some thoughts:

Early this morning, I did a quick search for unresponsive Undo, just in general and not Moho specifically. In the cases I found, some user got their Undo shortcuts back by deleting preferences. For others, it seemed to have to do with the keyboard and resetting the language settings. I don't know if any of that applies here though.

Ulrik's post makes me wonder if it's related to a specific OS version since it's not affecting all Mac users.

Hey Greenlaw,

i´m having the same problems on my personal MacBookPro (macOS 10.20.5) and on my MacPro at work (MacOS 10.12.6).
So i don´t think its the OS.

But maybe you are right about the old preferences.
And i´m having an really old MohoContentsFolder with many Scripts in it.
Maybe i have to install Moho clean without all that old stuff.

Will do that when i´m done with the current project.

Thank you!

may be unrelated to the copy/paste not working issue -- but I have the same Moho versions installed on two different boxes - both win10 - now one won't run embedded scripts but the other will run the same scripts faultlessly. I'm suspecting something in the "libraries" / dlls or whatever ... in the meantime I'm stripping out all the old versions of AS / Moho from the box that doesn't work and try a clean reinstall of 22035
[edit] -- well that seems to have worked! (I had an 11 and a couple of 12 variants - all in separate directories - removed all three and reloaded a freshly downloaded 22035)

Updated to 12.3 yesterday and from that moment the program seemed to disintegrate. It started with meshes not working, then copy/paste stopped working in the entire program (keyboard shortcuts, menu's, timeline etc.). I closed the file I was working at and tried to build a new one. Next I knew the whole draw-menu was grayed out. Frame 0? Yes frame 0. Vector layer? Yes. At some time the only function showing in the draw menu was Trace Image. So I gave up and went back to 12.2 and all is well. No idea what happened. Can't imagine the developers screwing up this bad! Only thing I can think of is that the update was very slow in downloading (tried several times), so maybe there is a problem on the server that damages the updater. I will wait for the next update now and see what that brings. Till that time I have lots of fun with 12.2. I'm an amateur who likes to experiment, so that's fine.

System: Imac mid 2011, OSX Sierra 12.6.

Hey there,

i just wanted to give you a brief update on the "copy and paste" issue i have with Moho 12.3 and share the solution the support gave me. It helped on my MacBook Pro, but unfortunately not on my Mac Pro at work:

---

Try this… Move the following folder

/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/SmithMicro/Moho/12/
to your desktop.

Launch Moho, you will have to Activate again.

If that does not work check the permissions for the following folders using Get Info

/Users/Shared/
/Users/Shared/Library/
/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/
/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/SmithMicro//
/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/SmithMicro/Moho/
/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/SmithMicro/Moho/12/

They should all be Read, Write, and Execute for all options.
