The Moho Mall sounds like a great idea!
So each vendor has their own checkout.
Not just anyone can just set up shop though, this would be handled by the ' mall cops'
A wordpress set up should easily do this there are plenty of controls for this type of thing, and add ons for groups and contributors.
Great idea pihms

I'm happy to help with funds towards startup costs but I am not across wordpress or any advanced e commerce stuff at all. Someone else will have to help with that part.

Luckily there's nothing advanced about woocommerce DK. Even I worked it out in a few minutes.
Wordpress can be easy too.
I just use the Divi theme , which is a WYSWIG system which keeps getting better every year.
The most difficult part would be making the mall menus and working out how to manage contributing memberships and that whole SEO thing ( oh and security- website security is a bit weird these days).
Of course like anything it would be easy after the first time.

I'm familiar with starting websites from scratch, though not creating an e-commerce environment, even made some Wordpress sites. Also, have used Weebly, which incorporates e-commerce. WooCommerce looks great! Several things to look at from the beginning would be things like:
What does WooCommerce provide the customer with purchasing an item? Credit cards, PayPal, ...
Do they connect to a system like PayPal for easier transactions?
Are we able to set-up our overall mall front page on WooCommerce as well as our own individual pages?
Looking over the WooCommerce website, I see that many of my questions can be answered there. Though, having someone already experienced with it, such as Chucky, it might help get us through the hurdle of looking for many of the answers.

The next, I assume would be a template that each store would follow, to provide a professional and polished appearance, something that would surpass that of other similar online stores in appearance, if possible.

Looking at the reviews of WooCommerce it appears to have outstanding comments and assessment on the quality of the site.

I like the Mall Cop idea, maintain quality.

I can see it being good for the Poser community, and I'm also not convinced that Renderosity is the best place for 2D Moho stuff.
I understand why Smith Micro are streamlining, but I think it would be a shame to lose all the files currently for sale and hope the current sellers find a new suitable home.
As another option, I'd be willing to open up my site to other sellers. I've coded the site from scratch so there's not much I can't do with it.
I've not been concentrating on that part of my site, but I do have a sales/shop area that we could use:
https://www.animestudiotutor.com/shop
Please contact me if you're interested. I'm also happy to help promote another site or help with any coding issues.

Thank you for the offer! Right now I'm looking at what happens from Content Paradise and considering all the possible options. It's nice to know that there would be a great site, such as yours, to look into.

Is anyone selling their 2d content that was on sale in Content Paradise directly, now that CP has closed down?

DK wrote:I know exactly what you are talking about and from a content providers POV it all just became impractical. Really good Smart Bone setups are quite hard and complicated to do. If you were to charge for the time spent on making just one of those type of rigs it would be way to expensive. Like I said...I created one product that took 3 days to create and it never even sold one copy. The driving factor was sales. Demand was so unpredictable it wasn't worth anyone's time to do anything but simple rigs....(these are just my thoughts based on experience btw). Plus, after you create any product you had to spend hours making tutorials, splash screens, written descriptions, license agreements etc, not to mention, it was sooo slow to upload all this to CP.
Imagine you had to do all this and face the reality that you would never sell one copy? I would rather do a free tutorial on a new Moho technique or create a good discussion on the Moho forum. (I have done my fair share of those).

Cheers

Well, now, isn't that what art is all about? Starving artists who work for the art of it even if the money isn't there? I've only sold a few things over the years, but that doesn't' stop me from creating new stuff even if it doesn't sell. Sometimes,it's the trip that makes it all worth while, not the destination. It sounds to me like you are a true artist.

You should be able to purchase the content on Renderosity fairly soon.

I've decided to develop a web site to feature my Cartoons 1O1 brand. Not just for Moho format, but others as well.
