Some clips from my next WIP

Post by Little Yamori »

These are some of my better clips, I'm working to stay consistent with this look,
but it might get tough.

Hoping to keep this one around 6 minutes when finished

Lots to like in there. Nice!

I really enjoyed the simple bent blades of grass, the turtle's face, and the wave splash at the end.

Thanks you guys,

My fear is that I've done a lot of stuff that looks consistent with these clips, but there is more to do and at times other shots don't come out with the same related look so I get stuck, but will push forward to try to get this done this year

This looks wonderful.
This is quite different from what I could recall about your previous gecko clips and I can only imagine how demanding these rigs are. Usually, I'm not fond of realism on this scale but then, the wide shot of shore at the end and waves... excellence. 8)
Repetition in floral patterns along with colours (palette) is something I'd pay somewhat more attention to.

There's some great stuff in there!

I'd try to lose some of the detail when there's a lot of grass, instead of a lot of single blades of grass maybe you could stylise it a bit more.

Also, try not having the shadows just grey or black with opacity. It's what stands out most in your style imo. Have a good look at shadows in real life. Here's a random google hit on shadows

Maestral, Thanks for the feedback. I've drawn about 4 leaf types and have 6 blades of grass, but I agree I think I need to add more foliage to keep it from distracting in a repetitive way. Much appreciated

I think I'm going to have to dive in to drawing a larger variety of plants since it looks like this is a weak spot, also thanks for the shadow link, I do find myself stuck at times trying to get them right

I thought this was gorgeous. I like seeing what people can achieve in Moho. :)

Thanks so much for the kind compliment.
I enjoy using Moho, and keep trying to challenge myself and push to see if I can get it to match the animation I have in my head.

Sometimes I come close, other times...not so much :)
