Moho 13.5 Tutorial Manual

Hi All. Weird question. I'm on the trial version of Moho 13.5 and just starting the tutorials. I'm on 1.3 and following the directions but I cannot get the final product to appear correctly. When I do the preview, the cloud is invisible. Is there a link to the video on this lesson that anyone can point me to? Struggling with this basic level isn't exactly inspiring confidence.

oh, yeah, looks like that linked video is no longer working!

just to confirm, when you first select the 'add points' tool, do you have auto-weld, auto-fill, and auto-stroke all enabled in the toolbar at the top of the screen?

and for what it's worth, i pretty much never use the 'add points' tool to create artwork. i know it does offer you a bit more control, but i prefer using the freehand tool and then correcting points afterwards. but overall, the tutorial document was very helpful in developing my understanding of the software. hope you stick with it!

I did confirm your questions and everything was activated. Could it be the fact that I'm in Demo mode as to why not being successful?

Is there a video form of the tutorial I could follow?

I restarted the tutorial over again and cannot get the gradient to work correctly. I did find a tutorial to follow by Luis Escobar. I noted that his gradient box has a circle that reflects the colors that he's selected. My bottom right bar was correct but my circle remained right. Tried to insert a pic of my results in here but couldn't figure out how to do it on this forum. Is my demo not working correctly?

to insert an image... find a (free) image hosting site (I'm currently using imgbb ), get yourself an account and upload the image.
Get an embed code for your image from the site -- it should look something like this:

and copy / paste that in to your post.

(or get an image url and drop that between the [img] delimiters you'll get from the button above your 'compose message' box)

Back at the tutorials:

Gradient (as in 1.2?) Make sure the shape is selected before working on the gradient in the Style window... "... click the Select Shape tool in the Fill section of the Tools panel, and click the fill on your hills."

Same is true for all shape effects (e.g. soft edge for the cloud in 1.3)

you're applying gradient to the STROKE -- you need to apply it to the FILL

this might help: It talks about a different fill effect, but the principle is the same. https://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewto ... 89#p208589 -- especially:
