The folks at GreyKid Pictures have been using Moho for quite a while on a several projects. The Pepsi commercial in the online gallery is one example, but now they've set up a website with lots of their work, and asked me to post a link here on the forum. When you go to their site, follow the links to the Portfolio section.

http://www.greykid.com/

(When you click on a thumbnail for an animation, a QuickTime icon will appear towards the lower-left of the screen. I missed this myself at first, but I believe all the samples have actual movies you can watch, not just still pictures.)

According to the GreyKid folks, 90% of the animation you see there was done in Moho. Here are some specifics:

This is the work done in Moho:

COMMERCIALS:

Pepsi: (Character animation in Moho)

Unicum Idents: (It's a mixture of hand drawn and Moho. The 3 guys heads
popping out from the side and the 3 guys holding the '3' cards)

Unicum Inflagranti: (again a mixture of Traditional 2d and Moho)

Unicum Playboy: (again a mixture of Traditional 2d and Moho)

FEATURES:

La Reine Soleil: (All character animation in Moho)

PROJECTS:

Gone In 60 Seconds: (All character animation in Moho)

SERVICES:

'Fosters' Cartoon Network Ident: (All character animation in Moho)

2-4-2 Dance Test: (All character animation in Moho)

Monster Mash (Pink freak & Shrek): (All chracter animation done in Moho)

Egg Bike: (All character animation done in Moho)

A Dogs Life: (All character animation done in Moho)

PSP: (All character animation done in Moho)

Hi Cartoonplayer,

We don't use scanned in key frames, we build one model then animate from that. We build very comprihensive models, infact the model building takes longer than the animation!

Greykid,
Is it possible to tell us how many people work on the character from start to finish?
Your work shows enthusiasm and dedication of a close team.

Hi Ingie01,

It depends on the job. But you are correct we have a small team of 12 people who jump in and out of various roles. We are a family when it comes to a production.

We have a couple of productions coming up that will require a team of around 35 people. So, organisation is the key!

This is by far the best proof of Moho's potential I've seen.

Feature quality! Super-impressive work guys, now I want to go to Hungary to soak up the brilliance.

hey there,

do you actually use the vectors within moho to design your characters?

Or do you import png+alpha etc?
