Virtual Sliders Fill Undo Stack

Post by neilhammers »

LMB scrubbing numeric fields records every sub-step into Undo queue. E.g. in RotateXY tool, after scrubbing Yrot from 0° to 20°, to undo the action, user will have to press Ctrl-Z at least twenty times.

Sanely it would record one action with the value at mouse release.

Also, there are no visual clues of what has been undone/redone. Could be some overlay text line at the bottom, that represents last command. Other examples: Maya has Help/Command line, in AFX clicking Edit menu user can see if Undo/Redo is possible and what will be done. Moho gives no clue.

I agree. To me it looks more like an usability improvement proposal than a bug, but I agree this should be improved.

Since I don't know if anyone spotted/reported it or not, we can consider it a bug, especially when it fills up the memory with garbage. In any case, I added it to my list of feature requests too viewtopic.php?t=36557
