Improved/alternative point selection method
Improved selection of points by using a brush like tool to click and drag over points (painting points red=selected). Brush size adjust by holding Alt + LMB drag.
Right now there is only lasso and rectangle select available (?).
When many points and lines are nearby using a small brush to paint select would be easier than using lasso tool.
As brush size can be adjusted it would be a good tool to select from the center of example a star shape and be able to select all the inner points with one click.
It's kind of how the point reduction + magnet tool behaves but having this as one of the selection tools.
