New Idea Arm Rig for Moho

Post by neeters_guy »

I came across this cool rig for limbs on Moe33 youtube channel.

Another user Poptoogi posted an example as well.

The main benefit is that it allows posing using two pin bones. The bone setup is a little complicated so I assembled my notes in a video. If anyone cares to check it out (it's really short), I'd recommend watching Moe33 and poptoogi videos first.

I hope it will be of use. Let me know of any errors.

Here's the same idea with the wrist parented to the elbow pin bones.

I guess it's not such new idea after all. :P

It all started from an idea I had 7 years ago now.

Since then I have optimized the thing, it is possible to do this with a lot less bones.
As soon as I have some time I will try to do a tutorial.

 Yes, your idea is great~! I'm curious about your current arm bone progress and look forward to your presentation. I also have similar ideas to improve the art details of the arm perspective. The link is here. I would like to hear your opinions.
