lil trouble w sound while exporting

Post by indi »

Hello there,

I wonder if someone can tell em what i am doing wrong with the animation which i just exported,

I used papagayo to synch a soundfile (.wav) correctly and used anime studio 5 to summon up a mouth, imported the switch thingy i made up with PGY and made a 1st run animation, of about 72 frames.

when i click on play, it works just fine, animation, mouth + synch and sound.

but the moment i exported it both to flash and avi, both files show the animation but the soundfile starts up, only hear the first tone and then the sound goes completely blank.

i used a .jpg file, a mouth and .wav file under soundtrack, and didnt compress the animationfile.

Did i do something wrong with the export ?

Hope someone can help me out,

regards,

I'm no flash expert (never done it) but I think a similar thread posted here a day or two ago suggested you want to put an MP3 of the audio in the same folder as the .WAV.

Then again, I could have been hallucinating (I'm an old man).

The mp3 needs to go in the same location as the AS file for flash export. And I'd try exporting the avi to a compressed format, as your media player may be choking on the shear size of the uncompressed file.

Ooops, my mistake. It is the same location as the .wav file used. Sorry about that.

Well, i tried the mp3 format, but sadly the mp3 format isnt showing in the soundttrack files.

and on another animation there is the same "choking" issue again.

movie format is now 596 kb :) slightly less than the other one.

So i really dont understand the problem with the audio.

Am i really the only one having this ?

What do you mean 'isn't showing the soundtrack files'? Do you mean it isn't showing the wave form in the timeline? If so, you need to use the .wav soundtrack within AS. This is how it finds the mp3. Also I think the mp3 must have the same name as the .wav.

If you continue to have trouble, I'd suggest posting a link to the AS and soundtrack files. That way someone else can try it out and see what the problem is.
