Flashtival 2004

Post by Nimphaea »

Hey everybody!

This may be of interest to some of you (the web animators especially!):

September 27th, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, the fourth Flashtival will take place.

More info: http://www.Flashtival.nl .
FlashFocus.nl, the largest Flash resource site and community in the Benelux is organizing Flashtival IV on September 27th, in close collaboration with Macromedia Benelux. More than 750 Flash designers and –developers from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom will participate in this exclusive one-day Flash conference. Flashtival IV will offer a versatile program, consisting of master-classes, workshops, presentations and trainings, all focused on Flash Design, Flash Development, Flash animation and Rich Internet Application Development.
This year there will be a lot of Flash design and animation sessions, and there will be speakers from several countries (look at the webpage: Programma > Spreker bio's, the site is available only in Dutch for now). Maybe it's inspirational for some of you, if you're in the neighbourhood (Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg, England...)!

The animator and creator of this Flash movies will speak: http://www.humbugz.com/hela.htm
http://www.goober.nu/nim/high.html

So I think it will be very worthwile to visit. Furthermore there will be spoken about special effects (in combination with After Effects and Photoshop) and the use of video for the web, in Flash.

Other special speakers will be:

- Ingo Ramin, the man behind http://www.24-7media.de (he won a Favourite Website Award with this site in the past month: http://www.24-7media.de/BWS/ )
- The people of Flashlevel http://www.flashlevel.com (this is not mentioned on the site yet, but they come)

I have visited this festival for two times before, and every year it was very good and inspiring. This year will be especially interesting for people who are into animation and effects for the web. And ofcourse it's a unique chance to meet this people. A ticket will not be expensive, last year it was about 50 euro's in pre sale.
