That is difficult in Moho.
You can do it with masking, look in the tutorials but that will not be that easy, depending on your video.
Or you can create your animation in Moho, export to video and overlay the video with KEYING in a video editor (Premiere, EditStudio) or compositing program (After Effects, MainVision). But that would be better with a greenscreen but you could try a LUMAKEY.
Or you could make the video background transparent in a video editing/compositing program and save that as a Quicktime video WITH transparency.
There is no easy solution, if the foreground is not moving too much you could try masking in Moho but well...good luck...Putting Moho animation on top of video, that's a LOT easier!

To do it in a video editing package I can't help there, you need to find out somewhere else I'm afraid, but I'll tell you how it works in Moho and you can think from there. When you export to a video file and select Quicktime and in the setting select "Millions+" it renders the video with an ALPHA sequence, that's a seperate invisible layer with transparency information. If you import that Quicktime file it will have transparency embedded in programs that support that.
Just to visualise try the following:
- New project
- draw something on the vector layer, just a filled shape
- Make it move
- Render as Quicktime/Millions+ settings, compression "none" to keep it simple.
- New project
- Add an image file, any image file
- Add another image layer but this time import your Quicktime file
- Now you should see the shape over the image file but the solid background has disappeared. That's basically what Alpha information does. Now you know what you need and you're on your own...
Good luck,

Are you wanting to make a "green screen" type video?13YearsOldAnimator wrote: How 2 make a transparent background 2 a camera video???
Like how they made Star Wars - where the actors are filmed acting in front of a green screen?
And then you add the background where the background is green (your transparent background)?
If so, you need a different program than Moho.
You need a video editing program like Premier or After Effects or other type video editing program.
Moho is a cartoon animation program - not a video editing program.
Go here for samples of things one can do with Moho:
