I don't see much improvement in importing Illustrator files in Version 12. Even imported as Illustrator V3, they don't import at all well. The layered Photoshop files work great! But Illustrator is lagging behind.

So, besides the ability to import LAYERED Illustrator files, I would like to see Moho being more competitive toward the Adobe Flash program. Although Flash is in no way as good as Moho, yet because Flash is used in online advertising, it would be very nice and useful for Moho to add the standard billboard formats for designing animations that can be exported into .SWF and .FLV files formatted for the standard website tower and header sizes for ads and animated GIF's.

The vector import improvement was as SVG.

Okay, SVG works fine. Thanks.

What about this? In the layers panel, how about moving the Trash icon to the far right of the icon line? Putting it next to the <...> icon has gotten me to mistakenly delete layers that I certainly did not want to delete. Yes, I've gotten used to being more careful about this. But stray mouse clicks that I don't notice can trash a lot a work. Yes, I make incremental backups, but why go through the hassle and anxiety if a Trash icon is moved to where it is not so easy to click? Or is there a way to enable a warning window like "Are you sure you want to delete this?"

What about adding the ability to lock a layer so it doesn't move accidentally?

Yes, that's been a long requested feature.

In the meantime, check out this script from Wes:

viewtopic.php?p=167236#p167236

Just select the layer, then select the menu command, and the layer becomes 'LOCKED'.'

For a variety of reasons, not everybody may be allowed to install a third-party script though (like at my workplace,) so a native solution will be welcome in a future version of Moho.

I concur with Rudiger here, in the Softimage people group we get numerous looks into what is coming and you can feel the clients salivating at the possibilities of updates.

Grouping for Shy bones like there are for points. If you use the select points tools, you have the option to select those points, name them and put the in the group. If you click "select points" you can select those points only. This would be great for shy bones!

Speaking of bones, is there an option to only show a certain color bone, or muti colored bones?

I just want to be able to keyframe the visibility for individual bones. Then you can use a Smart Bone to control the visibility of any 'group' of bones. I would like to see Shy kept as a feature but keyframeable bone visibility would be much more useful in rigging.

I had exactly that question -- and the answer turned out to be yes

Here it is :) The tool toggles bone visibility by color. It ignores shy bones on purpose.

Edit: Updated download link

Thanks Lukas, and hayasidist. Im not home yet, but when I get there, I'm gonna try it out.

Maybe...somewhere in the future...just maybe, these things will be native. Not that theres nothing wrong with scripts and tools!

But idk what takes more priorty for me, being alot more "drawing friendly" (especially with a tablet) or a little more "animation friendly"(including copying and pasting past and future things on the timeline, and whats mentioned above).
