Hide Edge Tool

I think "Hide Edge Tool" is a great tool. It would solve many problems deriving from unchangable layer order. However, it would be handier, if it was animatable. Or is it?

No, it's not animatable. It's not meant to fake out layer ordering, and wouldnt' work well for that, even if it were animatable. the Hide Edge tool is meant to help you create a partial outline around an object without having to create a separate fill and outline.

I see. Then, is it possible to add a function for changing the layer order during the animation?

You can use depth sorting to move layers forward and back. Take a look at Tutorial 16 (in the 4.x manual) for an example of this.

Depth sorting works fine v.4, but when I tried it in v.5, I couldn't achieve the same effect. Has something changed in v.5 or am I doing something wrong? Or, worst of all, is it a bug?
