new user test

Post by ulrik »

Hi everybody!
I'm a new moho user, I bought it for 3 weeks ago and I love it. I'm new in this area, it's the first time I am animating so eveything takes sooo long time to do, right now it's more of an experiment.
I've browsed this forum a lot the last weeks and learned a lot from you all, it's a real pleasure to read all of your tips and technics...and of course, to watch your movies!!
Well now I have gone thru all tutorials that came with the program and I feel I have to start from the beginning again so that something stays in my head...hehe :D
Here is something I made yesterday, as a start to a longer animation, including characters and dialog, I hope..
Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts.

Couldn't see it, Something about a Quicktime codec? I can usually see Quicktime movies OK...

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I can see it OK now, thanks. I assume that's a highway in the background? Are the whirling shapes supposed to be symbolic or something? Couldn't really get a handle on anything, so don't feel qualified to comment...

That's a very good start! I scrubbed-played it (backwards, forward) slowly and the patterns created by the intersecting images was interesting! Most people spend their time trying to animate reality(walking, jumping etc.), animation is also suited for the surreal. congrats on your first post!

Cool. It reminds me of some of the surreal DVD menus.

Thanks for all nice comments, I don't know what this small movie will lead to but I will post changes as I go along. Right know I'm trying to figure out what kind of character will suite this start...hmmm.
