Why a new group?

Why a new group ask Victor to us, the short answer is that we want with this group to be a place where every one that truly love Moho software could share their amazing work and to be an option to other Facebook groups, so people dont depend only of one or two big know groups to help spread the word and his work made in Moho. Also we use Facebook because is the easiest tool to use and the more used by people related related and not related to animation so we can really show what we do to others. So we hope to know each other soon and to everyone that have the believe that Moho is a really great software and like to use it to join us and share all what you do with us...

Currently their several places to discuss Moho on the internet.

The question is do we the users need one more?

I almost never go to Mcbuck's or is mtbuck24 face book?

I spend most of my time here on this forum. Chasing down new info on Moho is not a pleasant idea.

Most animators ether love Moho or hate it. There is little in between. Also like others I have tried everything from Alice to Zen Cub 3D. I have stayed with Moho because it is the most efficient program for the way I animate.

I have a YouTube channel with tutorials on Moho. I post here to get traffic. I wish I had more of fluent speaking with out saying Ah, hum etc. which puts people off. But I normal cover advance topics that you do not find any where else. Watch my last video on the 'Tips & Techniques' and you will understand. If I was to post the same video on your Facebook it would be seen by people who do animation, but find it useless because they use Toonboom or some other program.

I suggest that you keep 'Moho Character Animator Group', but post here with updates. Otherwise I will never see them.

There's also a Moho deviant art group, but it looks a little slow out of the gate. A large hub of Moho users, FB or otherwise, would be welcome. But like dueyftw says, lostmarble tends to be the default place for all things Moho.

Certainly Lost Marble its the primary Forum for Moho, notice the word forum so it work as a forum.

The reason to create a Facebook community its to use the facilities that Facebook give himself, like instant communication, direct notifications, chat capabilities and the possibility to use it as a tool to show your work to family, friends, only to certainly groups or to all the people in general, and not only to look for information or technical issues, to know some others with similar interest.

Its very unlikely that the other people who dont have Moho join Lost Marble, so the reason is the same reason why all us artist use also Instagram and tweeter, to spreead the word not only between us but with others including artist who work in other areas so its not limited.

There will be always people who dont like one and another and like the bg of the group read, the group its for people who love Moho and use him as your tool for animation, it have problems or no that's not important, the important its the aptitude, so if you like to be friendly, to know others and to spread the word we wait for you...

But, this has nothing to do with the previous ones.

I`ve witnessed so many futile attempts of similar nature and my cordial advice would be to develop some sort of constructive approach. This forum may exist in another dimension compared to fb, tw or similar but there`s a very good reason for that - the scope of interest. General public on s.networks looks for wows and similar superficial entertainment (most likely within 15 seconds) where proper input shall be provided with some credibility and usefulness after all. It might be clear at this point that these two groups (proficient users and credible contributors on one and the general public on the other side) have almost diametrically oppositional scopes of interest.

I have no doubts regarding your intentions but if you just imagine a situation where someone from this forum shall choose, due to the limited time available for online activities, either to reply here on the forum or on fb group. Which should prevail?

On the other hand, if you manage to develop this group in order to animate gen.public to provide quality feedback and interest for Moho, than it might be better for you to develop a separate s.network of your own because most of the existing ones are not looking nor aiming for much of a serious content.

What you say is understandable, if you prefer to post only here is what you prefer, no one is saying you dont do it, this forum its helpfull for all of us that dont want like you to use social platforms, its a valuable resource for all of us, but as I say a different kind of resource as well as tweeter id different to Facebook and to Instagran, I value both and every resource I had, several Moho forums, instagram, tweeter as well as animation forum, I post in all of them waht I do and in Youtube, I like the way I could integrate Facebook wihout the need to take a part from what I'm doing and like I say that takes less time, also I got notification to my cel and the others of the group also so if I need to talk with someone without restrictions of country I could use the chat also if I need help and someone know the answer we get fast answers than waiting because beeing part of a group means you want to participate, as a Social platform Facebook has pros and cons like all in this life so to be part of a group like this you need to want to be part and thats the important question do you want, great here we are and we want to focus in the love for the animation using Moho more than other software if dont well also great maybe later you decide hey I want so welcome again, anyway we are waiting for anyone that really believe Moho is great and want to share with all of the other members and future members as well as here,

I really can`t fully understand your reply. My intention was to point out the necessity of fb group`s functionality, hence the mentioning of the constructive approach.

Since I recognized your initial post as a promising one, now I have just one(two) question(s) for you:
Are you aware of other groups, pages, etc. related to Moho/AS and did you took a part in those (being a member, follower, etc) prior to initiating this new one?

Yes we are, and I say we because all the members in that group are also members of another Moho groups and animations group, in this one Im administrator with other persons who really love Moho not only use it, so we want to share and help with each other. Also I run another group myself as owner and administrator because since I start to use and lear about Moho notice the need of documentation and other language groups so I created another but first than this in spanish, so there I post all I do because my Youtube channerl is most of it in spanish but I try to animate in both languages but there are other really great Pros who post all they know trying to help others and all the others who love Moho and post his content, so one more time you are welcome if you want, anyway one more group its not a BIG deal, we are trying to focus in the reason that we really like Moho not only use it like many, many, many other users in the other groups, so hope to see you there if you really like Moho

Is there a list of all the various Moho forums/groups/communities anywhere?

Jaja JaMike we are not a religious group only user of Moho who really like to use it, but as someone more imply in all this messages there's some of user that hate it so the question is you like to use it?, great join us, you dont like and prefer other software? then whats the meaning to join a group wich the subject is Moho, we really want positive people and to saw what people so capable could do with the software, Moho its not perfect, there is not perfect software but we really like it, as simple as that but the problem is there are other group where that's the situation, they are there but they dont like the software only are there because they need it to be.
