Red Tracing Line

Hello Folks,
I I try to utilize an old script from Fazek; this is the modified version of freehand tool. It works on 12.5 but I cannot see the red tracing line when dragging mouse/stylus to draw lines. I attached the script and utility file. I really appreciate your help.
