Gradient Dithering

Post by GHOSTYMPA »

It would be so nice to have a dithering option for gradients if there isn't a way already. Whenever I use gradients the lines are really visible.

Yeah, it's a bit depth limitation.

I avoid using wide gradients in Moho where I can see banding. If the gradient is in a backround image, like in an open sky or underwater scene, I'll merge these elements with my Moho character animations using a compositing program that handles higher bit depth footage and output.

I hope Moho will support higher bit depths in a future release. This is a necessary feature for pro-level animation software.

If you have a compositing program, adding a little noise to the rendered Moho footage might help. Not a satisfactory fix but it might help in a pinch.
