Hi guys how do i make objects float like in low gravity?

Post by Bicknell1999 »

So im kinda new to moho, im just wondering how to make objects float like in low gravity, i tried using physics but apparently it doesn't do low gravity. Im just wondering the best way to go about this? Im trying to animate a space rocks floating away when a rocket hits it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you

No substitute for just animating in this case.

Zero gravity physics in Moho? Sure...

Just dial Gravity Magnitude to zero (no gravity,) and give the moving object some speed.

That said, as Wes noted, it's no big deal to keyframe this animation and you'll have more control over exactly how it should look.

Now, if what you want is a dozen asteroids bouncing off each other...hmm, brb. :D

This is mostly the same setup, just more boxes, and I selected half of the boxes at random and doubled their Springiness.

That's brilliant, Dennis. I looked at the physics a bit but didn't immediately see how to accomplish that.
My mistake was thinking I needed bone physics, instead of just typical layer physics.

Felt like playing with this a bit more:

An interesting side effect of using shading for the physics group layer is that as rocks near each other you get a light reflection effect on their shadow side. More noticeable on the lighter colored rocks.

Great solution and good observation on the light changing during simulation .
