Moho 14.3 Mantis Shrimp is here! Free update for Moho 14 owners
Animating with Mantis Shrimp offers the artist the best of two worlds: The flexibility of vectors with the expressiveness of natural painting.
The new Color Drift feature allows users to set Hue, Saturation and Value parameters for a brush. The stroke starts with an original color and drifts to a different one, easily mimicking hand painted materials. The new Opacity option gives pen pressure control over line transparency, making it feel like realistic charcoal sketching or watercolor painting.
These improvements allow artists to mix colors and create natural looking artwork in ways only seen in traditional media and bitmap software. Both Color Drift and Opacity values are saved into each vector point, making them easy to modify and animate.

This free update for Moho 14, 14.1 and 14.2 owners includes many features, fixes and improvements:
- New Animated Brush Color Drift: Strokes now can be mixed with a secondary color, easily mimicking hand painted materials like gouache or acrylic blending. The more pressure applied to the pen, the more the color will drift
- New brush Opacity option: Pen pressure can control the transparency of the line, making it feel like realistic charcoal sketching or watercolor painting.
- Improved Line Width tool: Now it can edit and animate Width, brush Opacity and brush Color Drift.
- Updated Freehand tool with new options of Opacity and Color Drift
- Improved Paint Bucket tool
- Lasso mode for the Select Shape tool
- Improved masking preview and render
- Better antialiasing for brushes
- Better language support, particularly right-to-left languages and some Asian character sets
- Curvers now can be flipped using bones
- Performance improvements
- Many bug fixes
- And much, much more!
