Multi layer action ability (including layer z depth animation, very important on DF head turn technique) However I often have "connected shapes" to keep things simple. One shape shares the edge of another so I only have one set of points to worry about for both shapes. Or I will often hav...

I am pretty sure if you create them with the AS tool you can access them with Fazek's tools. Yeah, I just have to use the AS tool to modify the groups. I just started using point group selection to make it easier to handle a faux 3D wireframe. If this works it should make turn actions much more fle...

Thanks, Vern. A bit off topic, but I've found a bug with Fazek's selection tool. If I name groups of points, when I select them by group using Fazek's tool it doesn't automatically put that group's name in the group name space. This means that, in order to delete groups, I have to type them in. Or r...

Oh that rocks! But is there any way to constrain the scaling while I rotate the bounding box? I probably just need to use onion skin to realign it, huh? Oh, and it's 'alt' on the pc. Edit: Duh, I figured out the constrain deal. I just needed to 'grab it in the middle instead of the edge. I love how ...

Rotatable scale tool gizmo

I was wondering if it would be possible for anyone to make a scale tool that can be rotated (independant of the vector points). That would allow someone to non-uniform scale in directions other than just along the x and y axes. I realize this can be done with bones, but sometimes that's not a desire...

Very nice example, Vern. That should help alot of people out with the masking concept.

I'm just trying to translate it in a more accessible way. Using black and white only confuses the issue for anyone who doen't understand the idea of alpha values. Although if you present it in terms of black and white being the 'lighting' of the layer, it could still come across as more intuitive. H...

After all, you "subtract" material in the eye holes of a Halloween mask so you can see through what you've subtracted. And if you add more material to a physical mask you HIDE more, not reveal more. Just my two cents...A mask isn't a 'mask'. But I think I can work within this metaphor. In...

What you should avoid is to make a simple click in the canvas.
Yeah, after having this trouble I quit doing that. It seems I found the limitation to the flood select.
BTW good drawings
Thanks.

Here's the file. If you try to flood select the nose with Fazek's create shape tool, ASP hangs for quite awhile before it finally does the selection. It'll sometimes do this on the cheek as well. Do this enough, and it'll crash ASP.

Problem with Fazek's create shape tool

Does anyone else have this problem? If I try to flood select an overlapping shape using Fazek's create shape tool ASP lags or crashes. I thought the flood select options were suppose to keep this from happenning.

I reproduced the crash, but also found a way around it. I don't know why, but translating that small bone , on frame zero, allows it to be safely deleted. Also releasing points and layers allows them to be bound anew.

Is it outlining? Often I'll try to create a shape only to get an outline, no fill. The problem is always due to a vector being selected that has a line dividing the shape. Make sure you're selecting one continuous outline without any extraneous points. If I had to guess, I say you're probably select...

Hey thanks, Gary. That works. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future. Also, I had no idea about that view>source bit.
