Re: cartoon dinosaurs

Ahh, I see what you mean. Thanks for the reply, I'll try it.

Also, now that I see it, when she comes to an abrupt halt, the little t-rex should lean forward and then snap backward a bit more.

Re: cartoon dinosaurs

Dammit. You're right about the sliding. I know Selgin has a walk ruler but I could never figure out how he used it. There was also a thing he did where he got all the onion-skins of the contact keyframes to overlap, so that the character advanced only when the feet were off the ground, but I am unce...

cartoon dinosaurs

Here's a few new clips from my WIP cartoon "The T Stands For Justice", the production of which sometimes seems to prove that Xeno's paradox is more than an abstraction. Triceratops charges 97266004 Another cute dino yelling "Hooray!" 97158274 and a second one with her getting an ...

Re: Opening Sequence Test

Someone's using Anime Studio to make anime? That's crazy.

Wow, agreed about the pass to fix the line width, that looks great.

Re: A couple more clips

Love the bit where the hand grabs the camera and moves it. Makes the animation more immersive, and helps draw you in, especially with the added blur as it comes closer.

That new song "Lieutenant Dark" sounds like it should be the theme of an anime.

Re: Dinosaur Birthday Presents

Thanks guys.

s.t., I have sketches where the critter in the box watches the fly, and hides when the fly turns towards it, but I thought it might make the scene too long.

Though now I think about it...

Re: Part of a bigger project I am working on.

You may want to blur the edges around the globe of light coming from the street lamps as well. Unless they really are giant glass globes, then never mind.

Nice driving effect.

Dinosaur Birthday Presents

Okay, here's an updated version. 92765567 In addition to the box-critter peering out I have also added a few frames with the lid half up, to smooth out the motion of the box itself. I'm not certain yet, but it seems like the extra frames around the box lid opening give enough of a clue to the action...

Re: Koalas Cartoon

I watched it with the sound off, and made it six minutes. Visually the best stuff was the scene where the Koalas were being shown on the video, because there was a lot going on, secondary actions with the timer and so on. The clouds make it look a lot less flat than last time, and the drop shadows a...

Re: Ant Walk. Constructive Criticism needed

Sorry, I just meant that the toe usually trails after the rest of the foot. If the heel strikes the ground first, the toe curls down and grabs the ground, and that the feet seem to be turned sideways, but that might be the look you are going for.

Re: Ant Walk. Constructive Criticism needed

Pretty good so far, I like the blink. You may want to put a red body segment between each set of legs. The feet need to grip the ground more. The trailing edge might need to come inward a bit, or you might shift the feet & bones to a more oblique angle. And just in case it might help, here's Ric...

Boom! goes the dinosaur.

A tiny chunk of my movie, and a new run cycle for my T-Rex, which has a little more weight than the last one.
