Re: Not an exciting clip, but ZHS is back in the works! :)
Speaking of the ponytail, in that second video you posted it seems to move in front of the neck rather than behind like in the first video. Ah ha! Yes, good eye. This is because of an inherent problem with the rig. Because sometimes I wind up with quite a few layers for a character, Instead of havi...

Re: Classroom Shot
Thanks, still playing with some settings on the pool of "blood." Looks better before I upload to youtube, but I guess I'm not sure what you mean by too "translucent" though. There's technically no transparency through it to the markings of the floor, and is actually just function...

Classroom Shot
Quite a bit darker after uploading to youtube. LONG render time because I was getting some 3D flickers, had to export without multithread rendering enabled. (Again, all done in Anime Studio.) **EDIT** Added the second clip to show how it looks bringing in characters, but did a quick render so you ca...

Re: Not an exciting clip, but ZHS is back in the works! :)
Thanks again. It's interesting that you ask about the arm, because I actually wasn't sure right away what method this rig was using, as I'd been working more with the heads now. Looking a little more closely I can see that I originally used a technique I'd seen here somewhere with a 3 line segmented...

Re: an attempt at psychedelic transitioning / dancing
Apropos of nearly nothing, every time I come across a random "cyriak" post, I can't help but think of sargumphigaus. You'll have to take this as you will, but I'm fairly sure I mean it as a compliment. I hope you take it as such.

Re: The finished version of "The Brain Storm"
Thanks for watching and all the positive comments :D This project was fun to work on, with a lot of learning opportunities. The student writer was quite pleased with the result, so it was a very rewarding experience through and through. @ Droxon: To clarify and confirm what was already said, every v...

Re: Random space/meteor thing for "The Brainstorm"
Well, the gala for this project is coming up this weekend. So I'll be able to show the finished product very soon... But in the meantime if anyone is interested, here's a trailer for the entire showing, (my 3 seconds of fame occur at 0:46) A tiny bit of my random/space meteor thing from this post re...

Re: A Scene from my WIP
Looks excellent. I can relate to things taking longer than ideal, but I've gotta say, when the end product is looking this good it's hard to argue with the process and taking the extra time. Pacing is important though, even knowing all that hard work, when viewed, goes by so quickly. (But it should....

I do my walk cycles FBF if I get to much sliding. tips Make sure you have the translation set to linear. Make sure both feet/legs have the same stride. Make sure both feet/legs have the same amount of distance on the time line. Agree with all tips here, Esp. linear translation. I've gone so far as ...

Re: Pterodactyl Power Dive &c.
The Pterodactyl has a neat speed trail kind of effect, but he's moving much too slowly to believe he'd generate such a trail. I agree with Danimal on this one. The speed trail or using a motion blur for fast moving objects is to let the eye have an idea where parts of that object were during that i...

Re: First Backgound I Ever Made
Seems like your usual response if someone mentions a style choice is that it's "supposed to be that way," Well you were right on that part.. The colors are meant that way... Not as an excuse either... Like I just think it looks good that way.. But yeah maybe once I start animating the ser...

Re: First Backgound I Ever Made
Looks nice. Only a couple of odd perspective issues that I see, but nothing too distracting or strange unless you're just staring at it. I think the main "bleh" thing about it for me is the color scheme is all very soft. Like the whole thing was made and then you dropped the opacity to 25%...
