Re: How do I mirror asymmetrical hair styles?
I'm sorry. I'm really confused, particularly since the demo image you posted didn't actually show up, so if there was a visual aid, I don't see it. Do you have some sort of demo that you would be willing to share that I could examine and reverse engineer, just to see how it works based on what you'r...

How do I mirror asymmetrical hair styles?
Up front, I get that the following borders on being more of an art style question, but it's proven to be a hurdle with characters' hair styles in the past, and I'm going to stop running from it and try to face it head-on. The character I'm working on (pictured below) has her roots in being based on ...

Re: Stop a patch from hiding BOTH strokes AND vector shapes
Sure thing (thank you for your continued assistance, by the way): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VvK9vo1Qp_kvJrYJCZSfRXdWxCCK8bi6/view?usp=share_link I haven't added the camo pattern to his legs yet, just because I'm trying to stay focused on one area at a time. I don't anticipated running into tr...

Re: Stop a patch from hiding BOTH strokes AND vector shapes
Thanks, that actually wound up working for the arm, though it sort of gave way to a bigger (but similar) problem: trying to patch the arm over the shirt without wiping out the camouflage patterns of both the arm and the shirt has proven impossible so far. I'm really inexperienced with patching, espe...

Re: Stop a patch from hiding BOTH strokes AND vector shapes
Seems to work fine here. I might need to see a file to see what you're doing that might be off. Sure thing. Here's a Drive link (which I hope works; let me know if it or the file don't work correctly): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y9qmNUA3Z2sRgMZ6Dtsg0vH6Vy3uTXO5/view?usp=sharing Also, to save ...

Stop a patch from hiding BOTH strokes AND vector shapes
I'll start by mentioning that patches were a game-changer for me when I first found out they were a thing and got a sense of how they worked, and for a while, they've served me flawlessly. However, when designing a few characters (with a bit more detail in patched sectors) lately, I've run into issu...

Re: Exporting isn't working with my current project
First thing to try would be my script to find and erase negative timeline keyframes: https://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32714 Coming back to this - after having migrated my character to a new document, I tried to export the animation I made, but the error I had before returned. I trie...

Re: Unlock(?) a bone and vector layers
Actually, I just solved the issue (at least, for the time being, it seems). For whatever reason, the issue seemed to be the fact that I had some animation frames (mainly just poses) in the timeline; I cleared all animation from the timeline and that solved the problem.

Re: Unlock(?) a bone and vector layers
In the instances where I could select the bone, it didn't have any constraints set (by me at least, and it isn't bound to anything), and showing all bones didn't seem to do anything in regards to both the locked bone and the "ghost" selection points. This is the link to the test project fi...

Unlock(?) a bone and vector layers
Since I've figured out the rotation issue I was having (thanks again to those who offered solutions), I'm having a new problem: I can't seem to manipulate any NEW bones I add to my eye group. I'm trying to create a smart bone action to make my character blink, but I can't actually turn the bone in t...

Having since tried it on a frame other than 0, I can confirm it works now. Thanks for the help (and the script)!

Re: Set a titled layer's angle as the new default
I followed the instructions as written, but for some reason, the script is greyed out and I can't use it.

So how do I install/use this? I've only ever installed one script, but I've never used this.

Which one is it? The bake script Mediafire link?hayasidist wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 4:47 pm take a look at http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtop ... 70#p180070 -- the script "disapplies" all layer motion from the layer and re-applies it to the points.
Let me know if that's what you needed.

Set a titled layer's angle as the new default
While working on a character design, I opted to replace the head I was designing and instead reused the original head I did for my first iteration of my character. The dilemma is that in the original drawing (because it was just 2D vector art, not an animated rig; what I'm designing is a rig), her h...
