Anime Studio Pro Ver.11.2.1
MacBook Pro OSX El Capitan Ver 10.11.6
I am trying to understand how to rig an imported image.
I am getting terrible distortion when manipulating bones connected to the image.
How can this be stopped?
Can it be stopped?
I Thank you.

Re: Problem with image rigging?
Have you tried turning down the bone strength on all bones

Change bone binding to "Region"?

Re: Problem with image rigging?
Thanks @ synthsin75:
This helped a great deal but still has some distortion.
Please remember I am totally new at trying to do this.
I finally realized you had to be on frame one to have the manipulate bone tools working. That was a break thru.

Re: Problem with image rigging?
With region binding, only the part of the image in the bone strength is influenced. But where bone regions overlap, you can still get some undesired effects. You can correct that by adding child bones just to increase the influence of their parent bone...essentially overpowering the influence of the other overlapping bone region.

Re: Problem with image rigging?
Thanks synthsin75.
I'm slowly starting to understand. ( I think.)
The more bones the more stable it becomes if I understand correctly. Not really sure of the placement.
But I'll keep experimenting.
Is it advisable to turn down the bone influence all the way if I do that it doesn't seem to work when I go to frame 1.The bones move but the image stays still.
I appreciate you help on this and your time.
Thank you.

Re: Problem with image rigging?
Yeah, trying to find the right balance can be a bit of trial and error, which is why I usually use point binding. But since you're using images, that would require a smart mesh, which could be more complicated than you may be wanting.
Unless a bone is layer or point bound, turning it's influence to zero means it has no influence at all.
