Point of origin

Post by withoutaclue »

I have a character who is walking and then I want him to fall down. Due to other bones being used for walking it seemed the easiest way to do this was to change the point of origin during the animation and rotate the layer. However, when I do this the characters movement are all completely different and the character ends up all over the screen. Is there anyway to stop this happening?

cant you do the fall using bones? just use onionskining to move it to the right position (if it isnt) when you want to start the fall and carry on from there...? a layer rotation probably won't look like a convincing fall...?

I tried doing the fall using bones, but primary bone in the rig is wrong way round. After messing around I've kind of sorted it, but now that I know what onionskining is it may look better. Next annoying question. Is there a specific way to do onionskining in AS 6 Debut or is it just copying layers?

I think onionskin is for Pro version only.

If you had AS7 pro you could do this with physics. A guy getting hit with a baseball.
