Frequently Asked Question
The license key should be entered exactly as it appears with all the letters capitalized and including the dashes. There are no letter O's in the license key - those are all the number zero. If copying and pasting, make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the license key, as those will cause the license key to be invalid.
If you have entered the key correctly but are still getting an invalid key message, that could be a result of Moho not being able to save the activation file.
On Macs, this is most likely the permissions settings resulting in this error. Moho either cannot write or cannot read the activation file.
To address this issue, check the permissions for the following folders using GET INFO:
- /Users/Shared/
- /Users/Shared/Library/
- /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/
Each of them should show at least three types of accounts that you can modify the permissions for. The permissions that are available should be to read and write. Make sure that all three account types have both read and write permissions for all of the above folders. To speed this process along, you can also use the option for subfolders to inherit the change, so that any changes you make to a folder's permissions settings will automatically apply to all of that folder's subfolders.
Once you've fixed your permissions for that path, try the license key again.
