Coach going Super Saiyan GIF
Most of you might have seen this before, but if not, it's pretty cool.
I wonder what program was used to create it? I looked at the frames in CS5 and it looks like it could be done there, but the hair is drawn so well it looks like its really flowing as it moves.
I only use Photoshop so maybe there is an easier way to make this?
Cool animation edit though, I watch it a few times back to back usually.
Re: Coach going Super Saiyan GIF
Most "high end" video tools like After Effects or FCP have "flame" or "hair" effects that react to motion and movement with controllable settings and motion tracking. It could have been done that way pretty easily. The other thing is that really really good animators could probably hand draw animation like that in their sleep. It's not that long a segment. It all depends.
My feeling is it's probably done with some sort of fire or hair plugin.

Pretty sure the hair and bolts are hand-drawn, 'gas' behind him looks CG.
Re: Coach going Super Saiyan GIF
Australian effects animator Adam Phillips animated the effects in Toon Boom, probably Harmony.
